Ford Motor Company became involved with the Bondurant School in 1983, providing vehicles and technical support. Today, Bondurant features more than 150 Ford vehicles including SVT Mustang Cobras, Mustang GTs, Taurus SHOs, Probe GTs and SVT Contours, as well as selected Lincoln-Mercury products such as Grand Marquis' and Crown Victorias. The Bondurant School also features 30 Crossle Formula Ford race cars.
All Ford vehicles are specially-prepared for Bondurant by Roush Racing - the same company that prepares championship-winning road racing and NASCAR stock cars for Ford. Ford often utilizes Bondurant as a testing facility to learn more about how their products perform under stressful conditions, which is then applied to the products they sell everyday. Bondurant also trains a number of Ford executives and engineers on the fundamentals of dynamic car control.
